Export Initiative for Environmental Protection (EXI): International exchange on green hydrogen and fuel cell technologies in decentralized energy supply
On 30 November 2023 in Berlin, those implementing projects funded under the Export Initiative for Environmental Protection (EXI) of the Federal Ministry for the Environmental, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV – Bundesministerium für Umweltschutz, Naturschutz, nukleare Sicherheit und Verbraucherschutz), met for the first time.
EXI project HyTrA – First demonstrator goes into operation in South Africa
The objective of the HyTrA project (Hydrogen Tryout Areal) is to establish the use of hydrogen technology for decentralized electricity supply in South Africa. Decentralised stand-alone networks are to form the basis for advancing a reliable, environmentally-friendly and CO2-neutral electricity supply. On 13 July 2023, the first demonstrator of the project was launched in Cape Town, South Africa, and was attended by project leader ZUG gGmbH as well as NOW GmbH.
Federal Ministry for the Environment launches 7th funding round of the Export Initiative Environmental Protection (EXI)
The German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV – Bundesministerium für Umwelt, Naturschutz, nukleare Sicherheit und Verbraucherschutz) has launched the new funding round of the “Export Initiative Environmental Protection” (EXI – Exportinitiative Umweltschutz). Project outlines can be submitted until 1 April 2023. NOW GmbH is acting as the contact for the area of “green hydrogen and fuel cell technologies in decentralized energy supply”.
EXI study outlines potential of hydrogen for sustainable and decentralised energy supply with a view to emerging and developing countries
As part of the Export Initiative for Environmental Protection (EXI – Exportinitiative Umweltschutz), the “Prospects for the economic viability of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies in decentralised energy supply” online event took place on 7 December 2022.
Workshop series: German-Jordan Water-Hydrogen Dialogue
Through the ‘German-Jordan Water-Hydrogen Dialogue GJWHD)’, the Federal Ministry for the Environment is fostering German-Jordanian knowledge development and transfer in the fields of water, waste, and green hydrogen. The workshop series has now been successfully completed in Amman.
Annual conference of Environmental Protection Export Initiative
German environmental technologies are an important building block for advancing environmental protection worldwide. But how can green tech applications have an even greater impact in the future? That is what participants were discussing last week in Berlin at the annual conference of the Environmental Protection Export Initiative (EXI). About 150 representatives from industry, research and development, non-governmental organisations as well as various federal ministries were in attendance.
The name says it all: Support scheme now called “Export Initiative Environmental Protection”
Effective immediately, “Export Initiative Environmental Technologies” has been renamed to “Export Initiative Environmental Protection”. The focus of the funding program is thereby already accurately conveyed in the name of the programme.
NOW GmbH and DIHK Service GmbH renew cooperation
NOW GmbH and DIHK Service GmbH are continuing their successful cooperation in the field of international knowledge and technology transfer of green hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. The aim is to further sharpen the content of the fields of cooperation and to further develop existing activities.
