About the Atlas of Hydrogen Networks in Germany

When it comes to the development and use of innovative technologies, regions in Germany need more than just the involvement of a single active player. No matter whether in the transport or energy sector, in electricity or heating systems: the use of hydrogen is always based on a regional network of producers and consumers. The establishment of regional networks serves as a starting point. This enables faster progress to be made and allows regional stakeholders to expand their collective knowledge and the impact of their projects. With the Atlas of Hydrogen Networks in Germany, NOW GmbH provides support in the search for potential partners locally and nationally. The publication provides an overview of regional and supra-regional research activities and all networks, clusters, associations and federations in Germany that deal with hydrogen and fuel cell technologies and applications. If you are interested in having a network included in the atlas, please contact us.

About HyLand – Hydrogen Regions in Germany

Coordinated by NOW GmbH, the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure has been supporting the possibilities for municipalities and regions to establish themselves as hydrogen regions with the HyLand – Hydrogen Regions in Germany project since 2018. The development of stakeholder landscapes, the creation of regional concepts and the implementation of these concepts are among the categories that the programme supports. Since September 2021, the participants of the second round in the categories HyStarter and HyExperts have been determined. More information is available (in German) at www.hy.land.
