The NOW brochure “Energy transition in transport in the municipal area” from the accompanying research entitled “Networked mobility” is now available online. It is geared towards municipalities and municipal companies that deal with the energy transition issue in transport (sector coupling).
The brochure defines the different roles of municipalities, public utilities, distribution grid operators and transport operators and lays out their individual options for action in the framework of sector coupling. The relationship of these actors between one another is also highlighted.
In addition potential financing models are presented and an insight is given into the technologies and framework conditions which come into play in sector coupling.
By taking a practice-oriented approach, this brochure can contribute to bringing more locally generated energy to the transport area, thus enabling electric mobility to be rolled out in an even more environmentally-friendly manner.
