The National Centre for Charging Infrastructure today launched the fourth course offered by their digital learning platform, LadeLernTOOL. The tool helps administrative staff acquire and develop the knowledge needed for managing and authorising the installation of local charging infrastructure.

The new course: ‘Implementing charging infrastructure projects in municipalities’ comprises three modules that provide more detailed knowledge about the key themes of charging infrastructure development. These include the regulatory basis for installing charging stations in both public and private spaces, the various procurement models as well as aspects of the approval process of charging infrastructure projects.

Using interactive learning units, municipal staff attain the necessary knowledge and internalize it through practice-oriented exercises. The LadeLernTOOL is part of the TOOLBox of the National Centre for Charging Infrastructure and can be accessed free of charge here: www.ladelerntool.de following a short registration process.

Johannes Pallasch, Spokesperson of the National Centre for Charging Infrastructure and NOW GmbH unit manager: “The 11,000 municipalities in Germany are central players in the transformation towards modern and climate-friendly transport. With the new LadeLernTOOL course, we are supporting municipal staff throughout Germany to implement local charging infrastructure projects in a more customized, simpler and faster way. This in turn, drives the success of electric mobility forward.”

The publication of the fourth course is accompanied by the roll-out of improvements in the structure and user guide for all LadeLernTOOL courses. Users can expect a new, modern design and an intuitive user interface.

Courses 1 to 3 of the LadeLernTOOL provide basic knowledge on the themes of electric mobility and charging infrastructure and illustrate the central role municipalities play in developing charging infrastructure. Users receive an overview of municipal action instruments and legal framework conditions for setting up charging infrastructure. Each course concludes with a test and a certificate is obtained. More courses will follow.
