The “ioki Hamburg” shuttle is an on-demand Hamburg local transport service. Having no fixed routes or timetables, individual journeys can be booked via an app. Similar routes of several passengers will be bundled together where possible in the process.
The Ioki Hamburg shuttle is a joint project of the city of Hamburg, Verkehrsbetriebe Hamburg-Holstein GmbH (VHH) and IOKI GmbH, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn AG. The abbreviation ‘ioki’ stands for ‘input output künstliche Intelligenz’ (input output artificial intelligence). 21 vehicles in total service mainly the so-called ‘first and last miles’, which means from passengers’ front doors to the next public transport connections or vice versa. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
