Results of the NOW "Urbaner Wirtschaftsverkehr" (Urban Commercial Transport) workshop.
In the debate regarding the pollutant emissions of diesel vehicles, the share of commercial transport that is responsible for harmful emissions is underestimated. Furthermore, forecasts predict that there will be a strong increase in this type of transport in the future. Urban commercial transport must therefore make a significant contribution towards the energy transition in this area. In October 2017, the National Organisation Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology (NOW GmbH) invited 30 experts from the logistics sector, commercial vehicle manufacturers, politics and science along with users, to come to Berlin and discuss to what extent urban commercial transport can make a switch to alternative drives.
