With a stop in Plauen, the Electric Mobility Roadshow of the Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport (BMDV – Bundesministerium für Digitales und Verkehr) concludes its annual tour for 2022. This year, the team provided information about CO2-free electric mobility suitable for everyday use in 11 cities and municipalities. Since 2014, the Electric Mobility Roadshow has visited more than 140 municipalities nationwide.

Regardless of whether batteries or hydrogen and fuel cells are being used, visitors to the information stand learned about the contribution electric mobility can make to climate protection, air pollution control and reducing noise. For private individuals, businesses and municipal representatives, there was information about funding opportunities for vehicles and charging infrastructure.

At the last stop in Plauen, the “Electric Mobility Jump-Starter Kit” (“Durchstarterset Elektromobilität”) information package was also handed out. The package contains practical recommendations for municipalities on the development and further expansion of electric mobility. Practical recommendations for action are also available online for all municipalities at www.durchstarterset-elektromobilität.de and www.nakomo.de.

The package was handed over by Tara Vollmer, Communications Manager at NOW GmbH, which organises the roadshow for the BMDV. She is pleased about this year’s successful tour of Germany: “After many years in which the topic of electric mobility was still discussed cautiously by the public, this year we have seen genuinely strong and concrete interest. In addition, we see that many cities and municipalities are already committed to driving the mobility transition forward.”
