The Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI – Bundesministerium für Verkehr und digitale Infrastruktur) is providing funding to support the procurement of climate-friendly fuel cell passenger cars in fleets. Another call for funding is now being made within the scope of the National Innovation Programme Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology (NIP 2). A total of up to 15 million euros is being made available for this purpose.
With these funds, the BMVI is supporting the market activation of products that have reached technical market maturity but are not yet competitive on the market, as a preliminary stage of the market ramp-up.
The most important condition: At least 10 vehicles must be procured per application. The highest priority will be given to the application with the highest number of vehicles being applied for.
Applications can be submitted until 16.08.2021. A delivery commitment for the number of vehicles in the application must also be provided by the manufacturer.
