As of now Stuttgart airport is making 32 new charging points available for e-cars, including six fast-charging stations with a capacity of up to 100 kilowatts. The energy is 100 per cent sourced from renewables.

Stuttgart airport wants to support more environmentally-friendly journeys with this facility, and in the long term it will be operated in a climate-neutral way.

A total of 48 charging points are now available to visitors in the public area of the airport. The new charging poles are funded under the funding guideline on charging infrastructure for electric vehicles from the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure in the amount of 273,000 euro. The implementation of the guideline is coordinated by NOW GmbH National Organisation Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology.
