On 11 June 2018, Bavaria’s Economics Minister Franz Josef Pschierer launched the third call for funding to expand the charging infrastructure in Bavaria. While the second round was limited to the cities of Augsburg, Munich, Nuremberg, Regensburg and Würzburg, the third call for proposals is open to all eligible applicants throughout Bavaria.

In addition to the installation of the charging column, the support also includes the connection to the grid and installation. This accounts for 40 percent of the costs incurred in the construction of publicly accessible charging points. Should the charging station offer additional added value, for example when setting up Park & Ride car parks, the subsidy rate can be increased by 10 percentage points.

Applications can be submitted until 20 July 2018.
