The “Framework conditions and market” supplementary research investigates the underlying reasons for electric mobility's failure to achieve a real market breakthrough to date, and develops proposals for the framework conditions (market structure, social trends, politics, law, etc.) under which electric mobility can achieve a breakthrough.
For this purpose, comparative studies of the regulatory framework and market structures in Germany and abroad were conducted. In addition, an analysis of the mobility behaviour and mobility needs of different user groups was undertaken. A new NOW brochure (“Rahmenbedingungen und Markt: Elektromobilität vor Ort und im internationalen Vergleich” available in German only) summarizes the main findings of the investigations.
