HyPerLife

With its long range and short refuelling times, the fuel cell can exploit its advantages in both passenger car and commercial vehicle applications. Even if the fuel cell will initially establish itself in the commercial vehicle sector in the next few years, only the unit number effect of the passenger car sector will make the necessary further cost reductions possible. The aim of the HyPerLife project is to develop and investigate a uniform system approach that covers the different requirements of passenger cars and commercial vehicles. The challenge here lies in the large number of effects to be taken into account that occur during operation and over the entire service life. Theoretical studies and investigation of concepts by means of simulation and experiment are planned for this purpose.
