The Reiner Lemoine Institute is looking for partners from business and administration who wish to integrate hydrogen applications into their operations.

The ecoPtG project will work on the optimal combination of hydrogen generation and consumption in order to learn about the economic and ecological benefits of this technology. Application scenarios under consideration include supplying refuelling stations, car and commercial vehicles fleets, logistics hubs, trains, ships, industrial processes as well as using hydrogen as an energy storage medium. Real application scenarios are sought for which a feasibility study can be conducted. In return for participation in the study, a scientific evaluation of the use of hydrogen in the respective partner operations will be conducted, from which individual recommendations for action can be derived.

The project will be supported by the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy, and the research partners are IAV GmbH, Wasserelektrolyse Hydrotechnik GmbH and the Centre for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research (ZSW).
