As already announced at the HyLand Symposium in May of this year, the HyPerformer category of the BMDV’s HyLand competition is now entering its second round. Competition forms are available from today.

The goal of HyPerformer is to support the implementation of integrated concepts for the mobility sector, thus establishing a regional hydrogen economy. A total of 45 million euros in funding is available for acquisitions along the entire value chain.

Federal Minister Dr. Volker Wissing: “Hydrogen technology offers us the opportunity to rethink mobility. The HyPerformer regions demonstrate what is already possible with hydrogen today. From production to the vehicle, this lighthouse project illuminates the whole value chain. Future transport projects will benefit from this experience, both nationally and internationally.”

‘HyLand – Hydrogen regions in Germany‘ is a competition organised by the BMDV in 2019 which is now launching its second round. HyLand motivates players in all regions of Germany to initiate, plan and implement hydrogen-related concepts. The objective of the competition is to identify and support the most innovative and promising regional concepts. In the first phase of the HyLand programme, 25 regions have already been funded and supported in establishing a hydrogen economy in the three categories: HyStarter, HyExperts and HyPerformer. A further 30 regions were selected as HyStarters and HyExperts for the second round.
