The hydrogen network HYPOS Hydrogen Power Storage & Solutions East Germany e.V. and the Automotive Cluster Ostdeutschland e.V. (ACOD) intend to strengthen cooperation with one another. The two networks, which are active in central and eastern Germany, have signed a cooperation agreement to this effect. Their objective is to “think more broadly about electric mobility”.

The two networks are united in their declared aim to generate tangible benefits for companies and research institutions across all clusters through know-how transfer and mutual support, networking and cooperation.
Specifically, the signed cooperation agreement deals with joint development projects, events and trade fair appearances as well as the continuous exchange of new developments in the respective areas. Cooperation in the training and further education of skilled workers from the perspective of Industry 4.0 will be pursued alongside the aspect of enhanced marketing measures for the training opportunities that exist.
More than 100 companies, universities and research institutes are currently involved as Hydrogen Power Storage & Solutions East Germany e.V. members. The association constitutes the nationwide network for the HYPOS innovation project. The project consortium pursues the goal of producing green hydrogen from renewable power on an industrial scale for the chemical industry, electric mobility and for the supply of urban energy. Within the context of a hydrogen model region, the chemical supply network, the natural gas network and the electricity networks of eastern Germany are to be linked together in an exemplary manner.

The Automotive Cluster Ostdeutschland is developing the automotive industry, in conjunction with the state initiatives. Automobile manufacturers, suppliers, service providers, research institutes, associations and institutions are networked under the key themes that include the issues of digitalisation, electric mobility, greater flexibility as well as the human factor.
