As part of the first joint Franco-German Conference on Hydrogen to be held in Paris on 22 October 2018, Wolfgang Axthammer, Managing Director of NOW GmbH, will provide information on the German National Innovation Programme Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology (NIP).
The event is being hosted by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation of France (MESRI) and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Discussion will focus on the potential of future-oriented hydrogen applications for a sustainable energy supply and the question of how these can be exploited in industry.
Technological challenges, economic aspects and questions of acceptance, including regulation, will be addressed. In addition, research needs from both countries are to be identified and incorporated into future research programmes in France, Germany and the EU.
Germany and France will jointly present the results of the conference to the European Commission.
