Mobilikon is celebrating its first birthday: the online reference tool on the topic of local mobility has over 300 fact sheets and 30 videos - with more in store.

Time is a scarce resource for municipalities. That is why Mobilikon has tasked itself with researching, pooling and categorising into application areas knowledge from previous research and modelling projects for example, and making it available for free for municipalities and districts. Those looking for a suitable mobility solution can learn more here about a wide range of mobility measures, support instruments and practical examples.

Mobilikon is managed by the Competence Centre for Rural Mobility at the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development on behalf of the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Building and Community.  It is closely linked with the National Competence Network for Sustainable Mobility (Nationales Kompetenznetzwerk für nachhaltige Mobilität – NaKoMo) and the cross-federal state mobility network of the MogLeb model project (“Improving mobility in rural areas to create equal living conditions”), whose joint office is coordinated by NOW GmbH. The common goal is to network mobility interests of the urban and rural spaces, bring tailor-made solutions to the area and to support municipalities in developing demand-oriented mobility solutions.
