GDL quality assurance for market ramp-up

The gas diffusion layer, or GDL for short, is a key component of the fuel cell. It has a variety of functions and tasks, which in addition to the mechanical aspects also include reactant transport in the gas and liquid phases and the conduction of electrons and heat. The aim of QM-GDL is the joint development of standardisable test procedures for GDLs. In addition, the influence of material fluctuation on the operating behaviour of fuel cells is to be investigated. Overall, the project should enable the development and mass production of more efficient GDLs.
