Fuel cell technology for long-distance buses
The purpose of the project is to develop economically and technically viable fuel cell technology that is suitable for long-distance buses. In addition, the first European long-distance bus with a fuel cell drive system is to be presented by 2024.
The focus of the first project phase “HyPerform Fuel Cell” is the implementation of the segment-specific requirements of long service lives of > 35,000 hours in combination with an efficiency level that is targeted for the heavy-duty sector in order to realise a competitive total cost of ownership.
