First practical implementation of a hydrogen cavern test as a prospective large-scale fuel storage system for hydrogen mobility in Germany
The HyCavMobil project is intended to be the first practical implementation of a hydrogen cavern test as a prospective large-scale fuel storage system in Germany. It also aims to prove that the hydrogen quality after storage meets the high requirements of fuel cell mobility. In this context, the integration of a hydrogen cavern as a large-scale energy storage system in the future energy system will be examined and evaluated under both technical and ecological aspects.
