Renewable fuels are a decisive factor in the transformation of the transport sector. In order to achieve the goal of climate neutrality in transport, the Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport (BMDV – Bundesministerium für Digitales und Verkehr), together with NOW GmbH and the Project Management Organisation Jülich, has published the “Electrolysis Plants for Hydrogen Production for the Transport Sector” funding call. It is part of the “Market Activation Measures” funding guideline within the framework of the National Innovation Programme Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology Phase II (Focus on Sustainable Mobility).
Funding is available for electrolysis plants for the production of hydrogen for the transport sector using electricity from renewable energy sources. The funding rate can be up to 45% of the investment expenditure for the construction of electrolysis plants for the production of hydrogen for the transport sector.
The deadline for submitting project outlines is 28 April 2023.
