NaKoMo meets Science

How can public mobility in rural areas be rethought and redesigned? This is the question we are exploring in the second edition of our new lecture series NaKoMo meets Science. Our speaker, Dr. Moritz Maier from the Fraunhofer IAO Institute, will present the research project of the same name, “Rethinking Mobility” (“Mobilität neu denken”).

In the districts of Freyung-Grafenau, Passau and Regen in the Bavarian Forest, the project examined exemplary levers for strengthening safe, affordable and sustainable mobility in rural areas. Local citizens were extensively involved in the process. The result of the project is a transferable model for the design of public mobility as well as concrete solutions and recommendations for action for rural areas, which will also be presented during the lecture.

As with every NaKoMo lecture, there will be plenty of time for your questions.
