Sino-German Partnership for Electromobility
– within the framework of the Sino-German Electro-Mobility Innovation and Support Center
Based on the joint declaration on cooperation in the field of electromobility with batteries and fuel cells between the Federal Ministry of Transport (BMV) and the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China (MOST), as well as the declaration of cooperation between the China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC) and NOW, the virtual center Sino-German Electro-Mobility Innovation and Support Center (SGEC) was established.
The SGEC forms the structural framework of the German-Chinese cooperation on electromobility between the BMV and MOST. It is intended to help intensify the bilateral exchange in the field of electromobility with batteries and fuel cells between Germany and China, in order to further promote scientific and technological cooperation. The focus of the cooperation is on the mutual exchange of experience regarding technologies, market developments and regulatory framework conditions.
The Sino-German Partnership for Electromobility pursues two main topics “Battery-electric mobility and charging infrastructure“ and „Hydrogen and fuel cell mobility and refueling infrastructure“. NOW on the German side and CATARC on the Chinese side are responsible for carrying out the activities of the SGEC.
