As part of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure's (BMVI) Electric Mobility Funding Guideline, four calls for electric mobility concepts have been conducted over the past five years. This has resulted in around 200 concepts being supported by the BMVI. More than half of these have already been completed.
NOW GmbH’s updated overview map pinpoints the locations of these concepts throughout Germany and provides various options for filtering the information. The respective final reports regarding the already completed concepts will also be appended to the map successively.
The scope of content is highly diverse – ranging from general concepts for analysing the potential of electric mobility in municipalities to specific topics, such as the establishment of an exclusive electric taxi fast-charging infrastructure. The largest share is represented by concepts from the area of electrification of municipal vehicle fleets and charging infrastructure.
Government funding for the development of electric mobility concepts will continue to be available in the future. A new call will be issued soon. With the current funding guideline on electric mobility from December 2020, commercial enterprises are now also eligible to apply in addition to municipalities.
