A new course in LadeLernTOOL (charging infrastructure learning tool) focusses on optimising planning and approval processes for setting up charging infrastructure. In four modules, the e-learning tool provides an introduction to the planning, approval, installation and operation of charging infrastructure in municipalities.

Participants receive practical guidance through best practice examples from municipal practice as well as downloadable checklists that support the successful implementation of charging infrastructure projects. The National Centre for Charging Infrastructure has already published a guide on this topic containing further in-depth information.

The digital learning platform LadeLernTOOL of the National Centre for Charging Infrastructure is oriented towards local authorities staff in order to support them in setting up charging infrastructure locally. Existing courses provide basic knowledge on electric mobility and charging infrastructure, emphasize the central role of municipal authorities in developing charging infrastructure and provide assistance in electrifying municipal fleets. Each course ends with a test and the award of a certificate. The range of courses is continually being broadened.

After a short registration process, LadeLernTOOL can be used free of charge. Using interactive learning units, local authorities staff can develop the necessary knowledge on establishing charging infrastructure and cement it in practice-oriented exercises. In addition to StandortTOOL and FlächenTOOL, LadeLernTOOL is one of the most important instruments of support for municipalities brought together in the TOOLBox by the National Centre for Charging Infrastructure, under the umbrella of NOW GmbH.
