The Federal Government’s Open House Day will take place for the 19th time on 26 & 27 August. Once again, the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI – Bundesministerium für Verkehr und digitale Infrastruktur) along with other ministries, the Federal Chancellery and Federal Press Office will open their doors to the public and provide information on the activities of the federal government.

Under the motto “Unter Morgen wird heute gemacht” (shaping tomorrow today), the BMVI will present its work with a focus on the areas of digitalisation, mobility, security and infrastructure. Visitors will have the opportunity to obtain a look behind the scenes of German politics. As part of its work towards emission-free mobility of the future, NOW will also be on site and present details on current funding projects and developments in the areas of battery and fuel cell electric mobility as well as alternative fuels. A further focus in 2017 will be placed on cycling as a mode of transport, as this year commemorates “200 years of the bicycle – Made in Germany”.
