From the NaKoMo “Alternative Drives and Fuels” workshop series
The expansion of charging infrastructure in Germany is an essential part of the coalition agreement of the new federal government. Support for the development of the charging infrastructure is therefore to be made more effective and efficient. Obstacles in approval processes, in the network infrastructure and in the conditions for connecting to the network are to be removed and municipalities are to be supported in planning the charging infrastructure with greater foresight. But what is the current state of the charging infrastructure in municipalities? Above all, the awarding and approval process often seems to be a complicated procedure for the municipalities and thus represents a hurdle.
Together we aim to explore how municipalities can prepare for these processes, what challenges need to be overcome and who can support them in this process.
Date: 27.01.2022
Time: 9:00 am – 12:30 pm
Format: Online
The workshop will commence with the presentation of a guideline that provides municipalities with valuable information for the process of awarding and approving charging infrastructure. This will be followed by two reports on experiences in tendering processes, whereby attention is being paid to choosing different examples (rural district, large city) in order to look at different prerequisites, challenges and approaches to solutions. In two thematically oriented workshop rooms, participants will have the opportunity to actively address the topics and work out solutions together. The focus will be on essential topics for the development of the charging infrastructure, such as operator models and solution options for awarding contracts. In addition, concrete funding opportunities will also be presented.
We look forward to lively discussions with you!
