2023 Electric Mobility Conference of the Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport (BMDV – Bundesministerium für Digitales und Verkehr)
The BMDV’s 2023 Electric Mobility Conference, one of the largest conferences on battery electric mobility in Germany, will take place in Hamburg on 21 and 22 March 2023. The focus will be on the local and regional expansion of electric mobility.
It brings together experts from municipalities, industry, science and politics. Lectures, discussion rounds and workshops on the latest topics from the fields of business, technology, energy and resource policy ensure the transfer of knowledge, which is of major importance in the ramp-up phase of electric mobility. An additional highlight is the opportunity to take part in exciting excursions to experience electric mobility applications live in Hamburg.
The BMDV’s 2023 Electric Mobility Conference is being organised by NOW GmbH. Event partners of the conference are HySolutions and the City of Hamburg, cooperation partners include the Deutscher Städtetag (German Association of Cities), the Deutscher Landkreistag (German Association of Counties), the Deutscher Städte- und Gemeindebund (German Association of Cities and Municipalities) as well as the Verband kommunaler Unternehmen (Association of Municipal Companies) and the Verband deutscher Verkehrsunternehmen (Association of German Transport Companies).
Participation at the event is free of charge. The number of participants on site is limited to 500 – please register early to secure your place.

- Excursion 1: The e-mobile port – the HHLA terminal in Altenwerder
- Excursion 2: The e-mobile bus depot – In Alsterdorf at Hamburger Hochbahn
- Excursion 3: Electric mobility under voltage – with Stromnetz Hamburg at the Hafencity substation
- Excursion 4: Climate-friendly commercial vehicles – charging infrastructure and load management in the depot of Hamburg’s municipal cleaning services
- Excursion 5: The e-mobile neighbourhood – A stroll through Hoheluft-Ost
Participation in the excursions is limited to 30-50 persons – we therefore kindly ask that you register early. A maximum of one registration per person is possible. Arrival and departure will be by bus provided by Hamburger Hochbahn.
Photos will be taken during the excursion and you agree to their subsequent use by giving your consent. The photos can be used afterwards by NOW GmbH and by the excursion providers for public relations.
