The Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) will in future provide funding for the construction of charging infrastructure at employee parking lots, for electric vehicles in company or municipal fleets, and for company vehicles.
With the new funding guideline “Non-public charging stations for electric vehicles – companies and municipalities”, the BMDV is adding an important component to its electromobility funding.
Applications can be submitted via the funding portal of the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) from November 23, 2021.
About the funding
Funding is available for the acquisition and construction of a new stationary charging station that is not accessible to the public, including the grid connection. The charging infrastructure must be located at parking spaces on properties intended for commercial and municipal use or for employee vehicle parking.
The grant amounts to 900 euros per charging point, up to a maximum total of 70 percent of eligible expenses. Funding is available for charging points with a charging capacity of up to 22 kilowatts.
Manufacturers of charging devices can have the eligibility of their products checked. Provided all technical requirements are met, the products will be added to the list of eligible charging devices.
The granting of state subsidies to economically active entities, i.e. companies, takes place as de minimis aid within the framework of these subsidy guidelines.
