Construction of the test centre was planned with the architects and specialist planners in accordance with the list of technical requirements that had been produced.
What test and inspection facilities were needed was ascertained in collaboration with potential users and from analysing a variety of presentations. The building project was realised via a general contractor. Construction work, specification and correction were carried out by ZSW in close collaboration with the general contractor and largely completed after just ten month’s of construction. Any special appliances not matching the usual standards were developed in collaboration with the respective manufacturers. Procurement of equipment and appliances as well as their installation and commissioning should be finished by the end of the project in December 2011.
