In Husum on 10 September 2019, the Minister President of the state of Schleswig-Holstein, Daniel Günther, opened this year’s HUSUM Wind. Over four days of the trade fair, almost 600 German and international exhibitors are showcasing technological and product innovations.

The focus of the fair is new technologies to solve current challenges in the wind industry, such as increasing flexibility of the energy system, digitalization and funding for societal acceptance. HUSUM Wind is held under the auspices of the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, Peter Altmaier.

As a networking platform and showcase for the energy sector, the watt_2.0 e.V. association is hosting the “watt_2.0 forum” from 10 to 13 September 2019 in Hall 5, stand B23 during the “HUSUM Wind” fair. The focus will be on practical reports on current projects and specialist lectures as well as discussions on priority topics. The cross-sectoral modernization of the energy industry based on renewables and the processing of the renewable energies produced in Schleswig-Holstein will be outlined.

Opportunities and potential as well as current performance data and need for action will be addressed. The open forum within the exhibition hall is oriented towards industry visitors in the sector: wind park operators, project developers, manufacturers, the economy and industry as well as institutions and the political sphere.

NOW GmbH supports the “watt_2.0 forum” and as a cooperation partner, brings its expertise on the potential of hydrogen for the future energy system to the table, as well as in the area of freight transport with emission-free and alternative fuels.
