The Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV – Bundesministerium für Digitales und Verkehr) has launched a funding call for the expansion of public hydrogen refuelling stations.
The focus of the funding is on refuelling stations in road transport for heavy-duty vehicles. In addition, the call is oriented towards the ambitious targets of the regulation on the deployment of alternative fuels infrastructure (Commission draft currently still in trilogue process).
The funding exclusively supports the construction of hydrogen filling stations that deliver 100 percent renewable hydrogen during operation. The funding rate is up to 80 percent of the eligible expenditure. The deadline for project applications is 10 May 2023.
