In the Smart eFleets project, three Berlin infrastructure operators are developing a cross-company car sharing scheme with electric cars. BVG, BSR and Berliner Wasserbetriebe as well as InfraLab Berlin Partner Stromnetz Berlin and Vattenfall Wärme Berlin, which are also involved in the project, are already pioneers in the field of electric mobility. Together, they are already putting more than 300 electric vehicles on the roads, and the number is set to increase significantly in the coming years. At the same time, the state-owned companies are aiming to reduce their joint total requirements for vehicles, charging points and grid extensions. This will be achieved through an integrated pooling and sharing approach. Take part in our project check and gain exciting, up-to-date insights into the project.
The core objective is to design and develop suitable innovative processes and concepts for new pooling and sharing approaches as well as technical developments in the field of e-mobility, and to test them for the first time in a living lab, and not only in the context of the consortium. This includes contractual relationships and technical interfaces for the joint provision of mobility.
