The Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (Bundesministerium für Verkehr und digitale Infrastruktur) is now supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), small municipal utilities and local authorities, as well as companies in the retail, hotel and catering sectors in the establishment of charging infrastructure.
The aim is to accelerate the installation of charging stations at appealing everyday destinations: in front of supermarkets, hotels, restaurants and municipal facilities such as swimming pools. The funding has a volume of 300 million euros and covers up to 80 percent of the investment costs.
