In 2021, the HYDROGEN WEEK NORTH (WDWN - WOCHE DES WASSERSTOFFS NORD) will take place live and online at various locations in northern Germany from 12.06 to 20.06.2021 with the political support of the federal states of Bremen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein.
The WDWN has set itself the goal of delivering information on the topic of hydrogen in a convincing and illustrative manner. Especially in Northern Germany, the “hydrogen story” can be told in a particularly vivid way: From electrolysis, which stores “surplus electricity”, to the storage of large quantities of hydrogen in caverns and its use in road transport, rail, water and air, to its use in the chemical industry, metal processing or heat supply: All these applications can be found in northern Germany.
Over nine days, various enterprises and initiatives invite visitors to events such as openings, test drives and presentations where they can experience, try out and discuss. Wherever the pandemic situation makes it possible this will be LIVE, supported by various digital formats.
The event is initiated by H2 MOBILITY Germany, with the support of NOW GmbH, the Clean Energy Partnership (CEP), hySOLUTIONS, the NORD Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Hydrogen Society Hamburg and all five northern German states.
