Saxony’s Prime Minister, Michael Kretschmer, will talk about the planned hydrogen strategy and the state’s electric mobility future at PFEIFFER FRAGT – Der Polit.Talk, live from the Carlowitz Congress Center in Chemnitz, taking place 15 October 2020, 10:30am.

How can Saxony’s long-established automotive industry manage the transition from internal combustion engine to battery or fuel cell vehicles? What framework conditions do industry and regional suppliers need for the structural transformation of their production? What role will the state’s planned hydrogen strategy play here? And how can the billions from Brussels from the “Green Deal” help the state to shape structural change in a future-oriented manner? These questions form the focus of the latest installment of ‘PFEIFFER FRAGT – Der Polit.Talk’.

Host Jürgen Pfeiffer will once again be welcoming six prominent guests from the worlds of politics, business, associations and science to the programme. Taking part in the discussion, which starts at 10:30am on 15 October at the Carlowitz Congress Center in Chemnitz, will be the Prime Minister of the Free State of Saxony, Michael Kretschmer; Member of the Executive Board of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, Prof. Ralf Boris Wehrspohn; Managing Director of the National Organisation Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology NOW, Kurt-Christoph von Knobelsdorff; as well as Jorgo Chatzimarkakis, Secretary General of the European industry association Hydrogen Europe; Jörg Starr, Chairman of the Clean Energy Partnership CEP; and Dr. Carsten Czenkusch, Plant Manager of Vitesco Technologies.

The 60-minute talk as well as the following 30-minute live chat between panel guests, viewers on location and on the internet will be streamed live via our website from 10:30am onwards.
