The recently published “Fuel Cell Value Chain” metastudy offers a comprehensive cost analysis of fuel cell production and goes into detail about the production costs of individual components. For the production of the bipolar plate and the membrane electrode unit, the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT from Aachen is now presenting selected study results in detail in a one-hour deep-dive session: In their presentations, Fraunhofer experts Clemens Müller, Toni Voebel and Martin Aretz will address the materials and manufacturing processes of the two components and delve into production-related issues within the value chain.
