Within the framework of the BMWi status seminars, the state of research in fuel cells and hydrogen technology will be discussed. This will encompass aspects including sector coupling and industrialisation as well as further areas of action for the future. From the issues raised by the participants of the previous BMWi status seminar in 2017, important impulses were taken up in the 7th Energy Research Programme, which has since come into force, that must now be implemented. The activities on the subject of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies are part of the federal government’s National Innovation Programme (NIP).
