On 10 November 2022, the 2nd Rail Platform Meeting with the focus on “Zero-Emission Drives for Rail Transport” will be held in Berlin as an in-person event.
Rail transport is and remains indispensable in a balanced transport concept. Only 60% of the German federal rail network has been electrified to date. The use of diesel as a fuel on non-electrified lines is increasingly being countered by innovative technologies that offer a climate-friendly alternative.
The event is intended to highlight the progress, current challenges and successes of alternative technologies in rail transport and to provide information on developments in batteries as well as hydrogen and fuel cell technologies in rail transport. In addition to the planned provision of information, the focus of the event will be on promoting exchange with those in the industry, sharing experiences and networking.
The event will target manufacturers of rail vehicles, transport and interest groups, research institutions, rail transport companies, leasing companies, rail infrastructure companies, the supply industry as well as transport and logistics companies.
