As part of the Mission Innovation alliance of 23 nations and the EU, NOW is involved in shaping the content and implementation of the Clean Hydrogen Mission on behalf of the German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. The Mission aims to make clean hydrogen competitive by reducing its cost to two US dollars per kilogram by 2030.
To achieve this, the focus has been placed on the following topics: Research and development, the establishment of 100 integrated hydrogen projects by 2030 (“Hydrogen Valleys”), as well as the support of non-member countries in building their own hydrogen economy.
