With the adoption of a national hydrogen strategy, the German government has committed itself to the pivotal importance of hydrogen for achieving the climate goals. Only by using hydrogen as an energy carrier CO2 emissions can be reduced by 55% by 2030 and up to 95% by 2050 in all energy consumption sectors. With the hydrogen strategy as a central part of the German economic stimulus and future package (“Konjunktur- und Zukunftspaket”), the federal government is setting the course for the development of new industrial structures and thus new areas of value creation and future-proof jobs in Germany. Over the course of the online seminar, Geert Tjarks and Julius von der Ohe will give you an overview of the strategy’s objectives linked to key activities already taking place in Germany. Afterwards there is time for questions.

The webinar will highlight you the various activities that are already taking place in Germany and which will continue to be actively promoted in the future as part of the National Hydrogen Strategy.

Dr. Geert Tjarks leads the International Cooperation area and is currently NIP Programme Manager at NOW GmbH. Dr. Julius von der Ohe is Head of Programme International Energy Concepts.
