The 12th Lower Saxony Energy Days with the title “Hydrogen – A Heavyweight for the Energy Transition!” will take place on 05 and 06 November 2019 in the Old Town Hall (Altes Rathaus), Hanover.

After an address by Olaf Lies, Lower Saxony’s Minister for the Environment, Energy, Building and Climate Protection and patron of this year’s Energy Days, the following speakers of the opening plenary session will give a brief overview on the current state of technology and the potential of hydrogen technologies.

In addition, current hydrogen projects in Lower Saxony will be presented as part of a highlight session.

The discussion, which will then delve into greater detail, will take place in the following specialist forums:

  • “Perspectives, alternatives and limitations of hydrogen production”
  • “Legal and Economic Framework Conditions of a Hydrogen Economy”
  • “Hydrogen from and for Lower Saxony – Infrastructure and Logistics”
  • “Hydrogen Society: Bright New (H2) World”

The evening event on 5 November, which will be held in the old town hall, rounds off the first day of the event and offers the opportunity for stimulating conversations in a friendly atmosphere.

Following the continuation of the expert forums until noon on the second day of the event, the results of this year’s Lower Saxony Energy Days will be the final highlight of a high-level panel discussion with Lower Saxony’s Minister of Economics, Labour, Transport and Digitisation, Dr. Bernd Althusmann, and other leading figures from politics, business, society and science, in which the audience will also be involved.

Further information will become available soon here.
