Zero emissions mobility – at the Hannover Messe 2019, NOW GmbH together with FCHJU and GP Joule will present the latest highlights of European and national zero-emission mobility.
Topics being addressed include important aspects of H2 infrastructure, fuel cell mobility, funding programmes and technology initiatives. Among the attractions is the world premiere from the Aachen-based start-up e.GO REX: its Mover e-minibus with fuel cell range extender. Another further highlight: On 1 April, together with Lower Saxony’s Minister for the Environment, Energy, Building and Climate Protection, Olaf Lies, we will be officially opening the new H2 refuelling facility at the Shell station located directly at the Laatzen trade fair grounds in Karlsruher Str. 12.
Ride, Refuel & Talk at Hannover-Messe 2019
At Ride, Refuel & Talk, visitors to the Hannover Messe can experience the suitability of hydrogen mobility for everyday use for themselves. Four fuel cell vehicles (from Hyundai (NEXO), Mercedes Benz (GLC F-CELL) and Toyota (Mirai)) will be available at the outdoor area in front of Hall 27. On request, refuelling can also be carried out at the just-opened Laatzen hydrogen station.
H2 MOBILITY Germany
A dense network of hydrogen filling stations, such as the one currently being set up in Germany, is the first step towards everyday suitability. H2 MOBILITY is dedicated to this task. This is unique the world over in this form: there is no comparable entrepreneurial initiative worldwide that sees the introduction of an emission-free fuel as a national task and pushes it forward. The first goal is to have 100 H2 refuelling stations in operation in the seven major German metropolitan areas of Hamburg, Berlin, Rhine-Ruhr, Frankfurt, Nuremberg, Stuttgart and Munich as well as along the arterial roads and motorways connecting these areas. H2 MOBILITY will take over all operational tasks, including network planning, approvals, procurement, construction and operation of the filling stations. Clean Energy Partnership (CEP)
The CEP partners are working towards the cross-industry market activation of mobility with hydrogen and fuel cells as part of a sustainable energy transition. The industry partnership transfers the experience gained in the passenger car sector to other modes of transport, promotes sector coupling and develops business models for hydrogen production from renewable energy sources. The CEP focuses on improving the suitability of vehicles for everyday use, ensuring fast and safe refuelling as well as enabling the system integration of accompanying technologies for optimum production, storage and logistics. Air Liquide, Audi, BMW, Daimler, H2 MOBILITY, Honda, Hyundai, Linde, OMV, Shell, Total, Toyota and the Westfalen Group are involved in the project. (We are Hydrogen, Hall 27, Booth B55)
NOW GmbH
NOW GmbH advocates a comprehensive concept of clean and efficient electric mobility in an integrated energy system with the key technologies battery, hydrogen and fuel cell. With its technical expertise, NOW coordinates funding programmes in the field of alternative fuels and drives as well as advising the German government in these areas. It analyses and evaluates relevant projects and studies, develops strategies for implementing new and existing programmes and instruments, and provides input on the regulatory framework at national and European levels. German Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (DWV – Deutscher Wasserstoff- und Brennstoffzellen-Verband e.V.)
The German Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (DWV – Deutscher Wasserstoff- und Brennstoffzellen-Verband e.V.) represents more than 1.5 million jobs in Germany through its members, and is therefore a crucial part of the German economy. Our goal is to bring all aspects of a future supply infrastructure with hydrogen, its production and energetic use – in particular energy conversion by means of fuel cells – into a dialogue on issues and perspectives and to play an active role in the development of the market. German Association of the Gas and Water Industry (DVGW – Deutscher Verein des Gas- und Wasserfaches e.V.)
As a recognised setter of regulations, technical-scientific know-how leader and promoter of technical innovations, the DVGW is the competence network for all questions relating to the supply of drinking water and energy gases such as natural gas. Technical concepts and the regulatory framework for the integration of large quantities of green hydrogen into the existing gas infrastructure are one of the DVGW’s areas of work. e.GO REX GmbH
The start-up from Aachen Engineering Valley is driving the development of a scalable fuel cell range extender for electric vehicles. Range Extender refers to the fact that the fuel cell supplies the engine with power via the traction batteries. One advantage is the potential commercialisation of production, which can be more easily achieved by using the fuel cell as a range extender. With the e.GO Mover, e.GO REX is now presenting a world first in Hanover: the first autonomously driving e-minibus equipped with a fuel cell range extender. (Hall 27, Booth B45)
