Arbitration procedure

The Federal Government Commissioner for Matters relating to Persons with Disabilities has an arbitration service in accordance with Section 16 of the BGG (German Federal Disability Equality Act). The task of the arbitration service is to resolve conflicts between people with disabilities and public authorities of the Federal Government.

You can involve the arbitration service if you are not satisfied with the answers from the above-mentioned contact option. The aim is not to find winners or losers. Rather, the aim is to work together with the help of the arbitration service to find an out-of-court solution to a problem.

The conciliation procedure is free of charge. You do not need any legal assistance either.

On the website of the arbitration service you will find all information on the arbitration procedure. There you can read about how an arbitration procedure works and how to submit the application for arbitration.
