The focus of this joint project is the introduction and testing of innovative hydrogen refuelling station concepts for fuel cell bus fleets of more than ten vehicles.
Two technologically distinct H2 filling stations will be set up at the Meckenheim and Wermelskirchen depots of Cologne’s RVK transport authority. Each of these will provide daily refuelling for 20 buses. The implementation of innovative storage concepts as well as the availability, reliability and durability the individual components have under real operating conditions will be scientifically researched and evaluated with respect to future and widespread deployment.
