Dr. Stefanie Wolff will report on “A POLICY EVALUATION OF ELECTROMOBILITY IN GERMANY”. Over the past 30 years, Germany has not succeeded in significantly reducing its carbon intensity, despite more energy-efficient drive technologies and exhaust gas emission control. To achieve the climate protection targets set by the German government, 15 million electric cars must be on Germany’s roads by 2030, with 1.3 million electric cars already registered as of February 2022. This study evaluates the political measures for the market introduction of battery electric passenger cars as well as battery electric and fuel cell buses in Germany.
