The battery electrification of commercial vehicles is challenging in terms of purchase and operating costs, vehicle use (payload), range, charging time (downtime) and charging infrastructure.
In HyLightCom, a light commercial vehicle with an electric, hybridised fuel cell drive and a balanced drive architecture is being researched and developed for competitive total cost of ownership without compromising usability and range for fleet operators.
