Fuel cell-based conversion kits for trucks with power-intensive auxiliary consumers (H2Kit)

The H2Kit project focuses on developing an efficient and locally emission-free solution for commercial vehicles with energy-intensive auxiliary consumers.

To this end, a modular fuel cell system is envisaged, supplemented by a battery system. The core objective of the project is to design and develop a conversion kit for commercial vehicles, which can be used to convert various existing vehicles between 12 and 18 t GVW to an emission-free drive system at low cost. This retrofit kit will be prototypically validated by integration into a refrigerated vehicle.
