Whether battery- or hydrogen and fuel cell-operated – at the information stand residents learned about the contribution electric mobility can make to climate protection, air pollution control and noise protection. Private citizens, business people and municipal representatives were able to obtain interesting information about funding opportunities for vehicles and infra-structure. A dynamic, clean driving experience could be enjoyed in test drives at numerous event locations.
In Lengreich representatives of the implementing organisation NOW GmbH presented the Electric Mobility Starter Set information package to Simon Möser, Metelen municipality and Marvin Dieck, Neuenkirchen municipality. The information package includes practical recom-mendations for action for municipalities to establish and further expand electric mobility and expresses appreciation for committed municipalities.
Tilman Wilhelm, Divisional Head Communication and Knowledge Management NOW GmbH is delighted with the success of this year’s Germany tour: “We are experiencing sharply increasing interest in electric mobility queries: from very practical such as the type of plug and socket, or questioning the overall ecobalance. With our information stand we provide explanations and answers regarding the electric mobility transition. Rethinking, initial projects or already substantiated practical experience are to be found everywhere in Germany. Germany is already electrically mobile and will become increasingly so in the future.”
A continuation of the Electric Mobility Roadshow is planned for 2020. Interested towns and municipalities can contact the Communication Green Team (roadshow@greenteam-kommunikation.de) or Anne Laudien at NOW GmbH (anne.laudien@now-gmbh.de). Specific date proposals are welcome.
