The first short course on the learning platform can be completed in approximately 35 minutes, including the final test. It is relevant for anyone involved in buildings, construction planning, property management or climate protection, particularly in public institutions, the construction industry or administration.
Participants will learn about the obligations currently imposed by the German Building Electric Mobility Infrastructure Act (GEIG – Gebäude-Elektromobilitätsinfrastruktur-Gesetz) and the changes that are expected to come into force soon as a result of the amendment to the European Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). The course looks at who exactly is affected by GEIG and EPBD, which measures are mandatory and when, how the requirements can be implemented, and which exemptions apply, e.g. for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) or certain public buildings. A distinction is made between residential and non-residential buildings, new and existing buildings.
What is the LadeLernTOOL?
The LadeLernTOOL digital learning platform of the National Centre for Charging Infrastructure offers support to anyone involved in setting up local charging infrastructure. Each course concludes with a test and the award of a certificate. The range of courses on offer is being continuously expanded.

The LadeLernTOOL can be used free of charge after a brief registration process. In interactive learning units, users can acquire knowledge on the topic of charging infrastructure development and consolidate this through practical exercises. Together with the StandortTOOL and the FlächenTOOL, the LadeLernTOOL is one of the three central tools of the TOOLBox, which the National Centre for Charging Infrastructure provides under the umbrella of NOW GmbH for the development of charging infrastructure.
